Weather permitting, the City of Huntsville will close Swancott Road Road from just east of County Line Road to Beadle Lane for a water line installation. The closure will span from 7 a.m. Monday, May 23, to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 25.
Traffic control and detours will be in place. Drivers should use caution in the area.
Weather permitting, Huntsville Utilities will close all lanes of the northbound Memorial Parkway Access Road between Lakewood Drive and Mastin Lake Road for water line installation. The closure will span from 7 a.m. Monday, May 23, to 5 p.m. Monday, June 13.
Local traffic will have access from the north via Lakewood Drive during the closure.
Weather permitting, the intersection of Old Monrovia and Sanderson roads will operate as a signalized intersection beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17.
Motorists should use caution and obey all traffic control signs and pavement markings.
Northbound and southbound lanes of Research Park Boulevard will experience closures as contractors remove falsework from the Old Madison Pike bridge.
From 7 p.m. Sunday, April 24, to 6:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, northbound lanes will be reduced to a single lane. From 7 p.m. Monday, April 25, to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, southbound lanes will be reduced to a single lane.
Motorists are urged to use caution. Traffic control will be in place.
Weather permitting, Williams Avenue from Monroe Street to Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard will be closed to traffic Monday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for sidewalk construction.

Contractors will be starting road improvements, which will take about three months to complete. Residents will have local access while work is ongoing. To avoid the construction area, drivers should detour to Monroe Road or Prosperity Drive. Traffic control will be in place.
Weather permitting, City of Huntsville Public Works will temporarily close Segers Road from Old Highway 20 to the railroad crossing to remove debris from a culvert. The closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 29. Drivers should find alternate routes to avoid the work area.
Weather permitting, the City of Huntsville will close a section of Goose Ridge Drive between Meadow Creek Circle and Trail Meadow Drive for drainage improvements. The closure will last from 7 a.m. Monday, March 28, through 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29.
Residents will have local access while work is ongoing. Traffic will detour to Trail Meadow Drive and Meadow Creek Circle to avoid the construction area.
Weather permitting, the City of Huntsville will close the intersection of Overhill Street at Claiborne Road from 7 a.m. Friday, March 25, through 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, for drainage improvements.
Residents will have local access while work is ongoing. Traffic will detour to Hester Lane to avoid the construction area.
Weather permitting, the City of Huntsville will temporarily close the 400 block of Clinton Avenue while a contractor performs concrete work. The closure will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, for the next three weeks.
