UPDATE:

Due to weather conditions, Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations WILL NOT be closing the previously reported section of Monte Sano Boulevard Friday, December 13 or Saturday, December 15.

Pole replacement work will resume Sunday morning on December 16, and will be extended through Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

As a reminder, the road will be closed each morning at 8:30am and will reopen at 2:00pm.  The section of road runs from Governor’s Drive to Burritt Drive SE.


Beginning Thursday, December 13 at 8:30am, and continuing through Tuesday (December 18), Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will close Monte Sano Boulevard from Governor’s Drive to Burritt Drive SE for pole replacement.

The road will close each morning at 8:30am and will reopen at 2:00pm each afternoon.

Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible.
Motorists traveling through this area are asked to do so with extreme caution as workers will be present.If possible, travelers are advised to plan an alternate route to minimize any inconvenience.
If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
