ALDOT: Lane closures on University Drive

The center and inside (left) eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 72 between Oster Drive and Arctic Drive will be closed from 6 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, to begin concrete island construction. Expect the same lane closures during the same time frame Thursday night.

The $3,480,269 project extends about 4½ miles, from just east of Perimeter Parkway to North Memorial Parkway (U.S. 231/U.S. 431). Work will take place Sunday through Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Most concrete work will be completed this fall. Asphalt resurfacing work is not expected to begin until spring.
