City of Huntsville to use pandemic relief funds on public safety, parks and infrastructure
November 5, 2021The City of Huntsville will have more than $30 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to spend on public safety, parks, infrastructure and recruitment. Administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, ARPA provides $350 billion to eligible state, local, territorial and Tribal governments to offset losses incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. November 5, 2021The Huntsville Police Department is assisting with traffic control for The Tour de Ville bike ride on Saturday, November 6, beginning at 09:00 AM. The ride will extend from Campus No. 805 on Clinton Ave. to the Five Points area and to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. There will be an estimated 150 bicyclists on the roadway. Please use caution if traveling in the area.
