The Huntsville Police Department is assisting with road closures in downtown Huntsville near the Von Braun Center on Friday, Sept. 30. Monroe Street between Clinton and Williams Avenues will be closed to north and southbound traffic from 5 – 8 p.m. to accommodate heavy pedestrian traffic for multiple events at the VBC. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 59-year-old Shirley Ann Logan with murder following a domestic-related shooting on Sunday, Sept. 25. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Sparkman Drive shortly before 5:40 p.m. and found 45-year-old Anthony Wilson deceased. Investigators learned Logan and Wilson had an ongoing relationship and believe the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation. Logan was booked in the Madison County Jail.
