The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Deiondre Gilmore, 25, with capital murder following a drug-related robbery that happened on Sunday, March 12. HPD officers responded to a shooting into a vehicle call around 9 p.m. Sunday near Wharton Road and Kenwood Drive. The City of Huntsville is allocating $364,000 to help area nonprofits provide services to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
