Huge volunteer turnout at Hillendale cleanup makes impact in eliminating litter
September 27, 2024Huntsville’s efforts to eliminate litter received a tremendous boost from more than 100 volunteers during a Sept. 21 cleanup at Hillendale Park and along the Holmes Avenue corridor. The local community cleanup event was part of National Cleanup Day, which included activities in all 50 states that brings together more than two million volunteers. September 26, 2024The Huntsville City Council approved a balanced $328,166,362 operating budget for Fiscal Year 2025 at a Sept. 26 meeting. The budget, proposed by Mayor Tommy Battle, included two amendments.
