The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Jamarious Beatty, 24, with capital murder for a shooting incident on Saturday, July 29. HPD officers responded to the parking lot of 3750 Highway 53 shortly before 2:30 a.m. and located Isaac Augusta Young, 26, with a gunshot wound. Young was transported to the hospital where he died. Huntsville City Council approved plans to proceed with a $7.9 million construction contract with Lambert Contracting to complete the final phase of Apollo Park at MidCity District. The North Alabama Drug Task Force (NADTF) has charged Tarmaine Edward Knight, 23, with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime (distribution) and possession of marijuana, following an investigation.
