January 24, 2024Plans are moving forward on District 5’s first recreation center. The facility will be on Martin Road, just west of Zierdt Road. The project is expected to go out for bid in February after receiving design approval from the Huntsville Planning Commission. Homes at higher elevations could experience delays into later this week as crews work Friday and Saturday to collect routes missed due to icy roads.
