Huntsville Transit ridership on the road to post-pandemic recovery
February 7, 2024Huntsville Transit’s ridership increased in 2023, marking a steady climb after passenger traffic dropped significantly during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ridership in 2023 on fixed routes was at 94% of pre-COVID ridership and at 97% on paratransit routes. February 2, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Lester Cruz, 27, with murder and aggravated assault after a deadly stabbing at a home in the 400 block of Mountain Gap Road. HPD officers responded to the area shortly before 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, and found two victims with life-threatening injuries.
