11 Huntsville Police personnel representing 145 years of law enforcement experience receive promotions
October 18, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) promoted four Investigators, five Sergeants and two Lieutenants on Monday, Oct. 14. During a special ceremony, Officers Ryan Burch, Edward C. Hall, Bradley Snipes and Kevin Zurowski were promoted to the rank of Investigator. Officers Jordan Boyer, Stuart Hartley, Jason Holman and Matthew Saltzman were promoted to the rank of Sergeant. October 18, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) arrested and charged a third suspect with reckless murder in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 12, 3310 Meridian St. Tyler O’Neal Andrade, 21, of Huntsville, was booked into the Madison County Jail on Friday, Oct. 18. October 17, 2024The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) arrested and charged a suspect with reckless murder in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 12. Jordan Latrell Smith, 21, of Huntsville was booked into the Madison County Jail on Wednesday, Oct. 16 around 2:00 p.m. The shooting occurred at a gas station at 3310 Meridian St. at about 9:50 p.m. Damien Obrien Manning, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene. Riordan learned in the meeting how leadership skills are fostered in the Council office, the roles Meredith has on the Council and how strategies are formed to address issues within the City. The resolution recognized Anderson for his “distinguished career” and thanked him for his “decades of extraordinary service to the community.” Anderson launched several initiatives in leading ODEI, including Jazz in the Park-Huntsville, Huntsville Civic Engagement Academy and the City’s intern program.
