August 9, 2024The City approved an engineering design services contract to plan for the replacement of the bridge on Sparkman Drive near Memorial Parkway. The scope of the $373,713 contract with AECOM Technical Services Inc. consists of design, permitting, survey and geotechnical investigations for a new bridge 100 feet in length and 90 feet wide. The bridge was constructed in 1968 and modified in 2004 by the Alabama Department of Transportation.
