Multi-Agency Operation Leads to 30 Arrests

The Huntsville Police Department is pleased to announce the results of a successful multi-agency operation based out of our North Alabama Multi-Agency Crime Center (NAMACC) that concluded on Thursday, March 18.
After receiving numerous complaints from people in a Huntsville neighborhood, NAMACC analyzed crime data and prioritized making the neighborhood safer.
The following local, state and federal agencies were a part of the operation: The Huntsville Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County District Attorney’s Office, Alabama State Probation and Parole, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), United States Secret Service and United States Probation and Parole. The FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force and FBI North Alabama Violent Crime Task Force both played a crucial part in this operation as well.
The 16-day operation named “Operation Lucky” focused law enforcement resources in a local neighborhood to make it safer. This operation resulted in 30 arrests, two pounds of marijuana recovered, more than $10,000 in cash seized, and 5 recovered weapons. One of those weapons was previously reported stolen. Many of the individuals arrested are facing multiple charges.
This was the second operation performed in the department’s North Alabama Multi-Agency Crime Center.
