Major Crimes Unit investigation

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is conducting a homicide investigation following a shooting at 3902 Cobb Road on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 10:47 p.m.

HPD officers in the area on an unrelated call located the victim after hearing a loud altercation and gunshots.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Major Crimes Unit Investigators believe this was an isolated incident stemming from a verbal altercation between acquaintances.

The case remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
