Major Crimes Unit Arrest

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 39-year-old Ronnie Cupps with murder after his wife was found deceased at a residence in the 2000 block of Boardman Street on Sunday, Oct. 30.

HPD Officers were called to perform a welfare check around 4 p.m. and located Teresa Cupps, 52, deceased from an apparent injury believed to be caused by blunt force trauma. Investigators believe a domestic dispute led up to Teresa Cupps’ death.

HPD with the assistance of the United States Marshals Task Force brought Ronnie Cupps into custody Monday, Oct. 31. He is currently being booked into the Madison County Jail.
