Investigators Ask for Public’s Help Locating Murder Suspect

Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help locating a murder suspect.  Ezekiel Briggs, 25 of Huntsville, was the victim and died from a gunshot wound on July 14.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 2400 block of Old Blue Springs Road shortly before midnight Friday.  Investigators believe the victim and Mondrel Ward, 25 of Huntsville, were in an argument and Ward shot and killed Briggs.  Mondrel Ward is a black male, approximately 5’11”, 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  Anyone who knows about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Huntsville Police Department, (256)722-7100.  You can also submit tips anonymously by calling (256)53CRIME, or by Online Submission or Mobile App .
