Huntsville Police Promote Eight Officers

The Huntsville Police Department promoted eight officers today to the ranks of Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant and Investigator. The promotion ceremony took place at 3:00 p.m. today in the Huntsville City Council Chambers. The newly promoted officers will begin their new assignments Monday. “This is an exciting time for these officers and the department, and I am confident that each of them will do an outstanding job” , said Chief McMurray. All eight men are veteran officers, and combined they have over 100 years of law enforcement experience. One of them will be an Administrative Captain, two will be Patrol Lieutenants, four will be Patrol Sergeants and one will be a General Investigator.
