Huntsville Police Investigating Overnight Shooting

The Huntsville Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened overnight in the 2800 block of North Memorial Parkway.
Around 1:15 a.m. this morning an officer attempted to stop a speeding car in the area of Memorial Parkway and University Drive. The car stopped at the intersection of Governors Drive and Memorial Parkway and a 20 year old passenger got out saying he had been shot. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
After further investigation it was determined that shooting happened in the 2800 block of North Memorial Parkway during an argument. The car the victim was riding in had been reported stolen on October 5, and investigating officers charged the 17 year old driver with Receiving a Stolen Vehicle, and a 16 year old passenger was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit. The investigation continues and there could be additional arrests and charges.
