Huntsville Man Dies in Memorial Parkway Accident

A 45 year old Huntsville man has died following an accident this morning on Memorial Parkway.

The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the northbound side of Memorial Parkway near the I-565 interchange.  Traffic was stopped on Memorial Parkway due to congestion at the interchange.  An eighteen wheeler that was also traveling northbound struck the rear of a Chevy Malibu driven by 45 year old Frazier Douglass as it was sitting in traffic.  Mr. Douglass was transported to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.  The accident is still under investigation.
