Huntsville Man Arrested Following Overnight Stabbing

The Huntsville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has charged Demarcus Smith, 35 of Huntsville, following an overnight stabbing on Patton Road.
Officers responded to the Citgo at Patton Road and Drake Avenue shortly after midnight for a stabbing victim. Officers followed a blood trail back to an apartment in the 3600 block of Patton Road where Smith was taken into custody.
The victim had been visiting Smith’s apartment when the two men got into an argument that led to the stabbing. The victim fled the apartment and ran to the Citgo for help. The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition and Smith was charged with Assault 1 st degree and booked into the Madison County Jail.
