Huntsville Fireworks Ordinance Reminder
Published on July 1, 2017
Huntsville Police wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July, but also want to remind everyone about the Fireworks Ordinance.
City of Huntsville laws state it is unlawful to sell, possess or use fireworks within the city limits. Huntsville Police have the authority to enforce this ordinance, which can result in the issuance of arrest citations and the fireworks being confiscated.
Police are asking that citizens not call 911 to report fireworks unless it is placing someone in danger.
Police encourage anyone wanting to enjoy a fireworks display to attend one of the scheduled displays taking place in the area.
