Flood Awareness
Published on February 25, 2019
Be aware, even though the rain has stopped, the water level is still rising. Due to the Tennessee River reaching greater levels, earlier today Huntsville firefighters passed out informational flyers to the areas that could most likely be affected. Floodwaters are expected to reach their highest level by tomorrow and remain there for approximately 24 hours. Huntsville Fire & Rescue has been working with local EMA officials and have made additional preparations to respond to flooding emergencies if the need arises. Crews have already responded to several calls involving flooding. Please pay attention to your local TV stations for the latest information and stay away from low-lying areas.
