There is more to a pond than you might think! Beneath the surface lies an amazing aquatic ecosystem with a wide variety of tiny animals. During this hands-on activity with the Tennessee Valley Audubon Society we will take a closer look, using magnification, at what lies beneath the surface of Bar Lake. We’ll see a variety of live insects and other creatures and learn how the composition of the pond community can indicate water quality.
Event is for children, with their favorite available adult. Clothes and shoes that can get a bit wet and dirty are recommended.
Hays Nature Preserve on October 27 from 1-2pm
