This July, the City of Huntsville will join the National Recreation and Park Association in celebrating “We are Parks & Recreation” month to recognize the many people and spaces leading the effort toward improved wellness. We’ll be taking a look behind the scenes to explore the City’s 60+ parks, trails and greenways, recreation centers, athletic facilities, Aquatic Center, pools/splash pads, dog parks, archery and skate parks, and more. We’ll learn how the Parks & Recreation team is working to connect people with nature, to create spaces for new sports and design programs tailored to meet those with specialized needs. You’ll meet our essential volunteers, partner organizations and dedicated employees who love serving the community by supporting indoor and outdoor play opportunities.
