Please join Mayor Battle and Operation Green Team at John Hunt Park for the annual Mayor’s Tree Planting Day on Saturday, November 7. Tree planting will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Over 350 trees will be planted to expand the tree canopy in John Hunt’s 428-acre park. No experience is needed.
The City of Huntsville’s Operation Green Team and Landscape Management will give out 1,000 seedling trees to take home to plant, while they last. Volunteers will also receive free litter cleanup supplies, popcorn and cotton candy. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
