Smokewoods of Monte Sano via Three Caves Trailhead- Guided Hike
(Easy to moderate)
Land Trust Board member David Young will take you along the trail named for his family. Admire the Chittamwood (Smokewood) groves and the many fossils from the ocean that once covered North Alabama.
Directions: Take California to Hermitage. Go to and through the stop sign, then to the T-intersection.
Turn left onto Kennamer Drive. Three Caves parking lot is past Hermitage Park and Mountain Springs
