Bats are some of the most amazing mammals, being the only group that has the ability to truly fly. Join us at Hays Nature Preserve on Wednesday, October 6 at 10am as we learn more about these often misunderstood animals. We will discuss interesting facts like, how many species of bats there are and how many occur in Huntsville, what role do they play in the ecosystems around us and what threats do bats face today.
All hikes are free and all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Hike will be a leisurely pace but strollers are not recommended. Hikers meet at the cul-de-sac at the Green Team tent.
Comfortable shoes that can get dirty are recommended.
