The mayors from Alabama’s five largest municipalities will hold a News Conference on Monday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m., in the Embassy Suites Hotel.
The “Big 5 Mayors” meet quarterly to talk about pressing issues of concern. Huntsville’s two-day meeting is focused on Washington, D.C., and federal changes Alabama’s cities might expect in the coming year. Attending the gathering are Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle, Birmingham Mayor William Bell, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange, and Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
