A fun Huntsville tradition – Appreciating the beauty of Monte Sano Nature Preserve with family and friends on Thanksgiving morning!
We’ll burn some extra calories and walk down Alms House Trail to Historic Three Caves. Then, drivers will be ferried back to our Bankhead trailhead hiker’s parking lot.
Or, you may make the round trip back up the mountain. Please bring water and cameras. Dogs on leads are welcome!
Directions: Take Pratt Avenue through Five Points to Bankhead Parkway on Monte Sano. Drive up the mountain past Tollgate Road. The Land Trust’s hiker parking lot- the Bankhead Trailhead – is ½ mile further on right.
**In case of rain, hikes will be cancelled and posted on the Land Trust of North Alabama website and Facebook page.**
