The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Jamarious Beatty, 24, with capital murder for a shooting incident on Saturday, July 29. HPD officers responded to the parking lot of 3750 Highway 53 shortly before 2:30 a.m. and located Isaac Augusta Young, 26, with a gunshot wound. Young was transported to the hospital where he died. The North Alabama Drug Task Force (NADTF) has charged Tarmaine Edward Knight, 23, with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime (distribution) and possession of marijuana, following an investigation. NADTF agents learned Knight planned to smuggle narcotics into the Madison County Jail while working as a detention officer.
