The Huntsville Police Department has placed a Sergeant on Administrative Duties following his arrest in Tuscaloosa, AL last weekend.     Sergeant King, a 20 year veteran of the department, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of Disorderly Conduct last Friday by Tuscaloosa Police Department.  Sergeant King will remain on Administrative Duties pending the outcome of the criminal investigation and the Huntsville Police Department Internal investigation.

 Agents with the Madison-Morgan County HIDTA Drug Task Force (STAC) have charged 47 year old Martin Acevedo of Huntsville with drug trafficking.    The arrest was the result of a search warrant served at his business, ROF Used Tires, in the 11000 block of South Memorial Parkway on October 21.  The search warrant was the culmination of a lengthy investigation involving the trafficking of large amounts of methamphetamine in the area.  [ more ]
