Huntsville Police have charged Thomas Couch, 32 of Huntsville, following an overnight shooting.   Officers responded to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Fairbanks Street around 11:45 last night.  One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the arm.  His injuries were not life-threatening.  Couch was in a neighboring apartment and refused to surrender to officers.  Surroundings apartments were evacuated for safety concerns, and [ more ]

Brian Simpson, 38 of Huntsville, was arrested in Conyers, Georgia and is currently awaiting extradition back to Huntsville.  He faces charges of Murder, Attempted Murder, and Assault 1st degree.
