HPD Prescription Drug Drop Box –First Quarter 2019 Results
April 16, 2019Huntsville Police is in its fourth year of maintaining a drug depository at the Public Safety Complex at 815 Wheeler Ave for unwanted and unused drugs. This first quarter of 2019, the drug take back bin has taken in 554 lbs of unused drugs. This is the largest amount recorded in one quarter since the program started. It has taken in approximately 3,500 lbs of prescription drugs since it was installed in 2016 (360 lbs for this past reporting quarter in 2018).
