Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride September 19th 2020 – Traffic Awareness
September 18, 2020The Huntsville Police Department want to warn motorists about the closing of west bound I565 entrance ramps, to include intersections at Hwy 72E and Moores Mill Rd and Shields Rd, this Saturday September 19th, through the City of Huntsville and Madison County. September 8, 2020Huntsville Police were called around 7pm about a person harassing protesters and brandishing a gun near the courthouse square. When Officers arrived they took 51 yr old Scott Christopher Davis of Huntsville into custody. Davis was in possession of handgun at the time he was detained. He is being charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Firearm at a Demonstration; 13A-11-59.

September 8, 2020Huntsville Police have arrested 38 yr old Brian Lamont Douglas and charged him with Arson 1st Degree. Douglas is accused of setting fire to his apartment at the 4100 Block of Newson Rd on August 16th. The fire caused damage to 8 apartment units, several of which were occupied at the time. There were no serious injuries in this case.

August 27, 2020Huntsville Police received a call about a shooting victim on August 24th at approximately 5:30pm on the 2000 Block of Griffith Dr. near Atkins Dr. When Officers arrived they found 23 yr old Brandon Moore suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced deceased. If anyone has information regarding the death of Moore please call Huntsville Police at 256-213-4532.
