City of Huntsville addresses fireworks safety before July Fourth

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD), Huntsville Fire & Rescue (HFR) and Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) are urging the community to practice firework safety ahead of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. The Huntsville Police Department charged James Charles Williams, 50, with murder on Wednesday, June 16, for the death of Joe Harris, 39. Williams turned himself in at the Public Safety Complex. Officers were dispatched to 2201 Memorial Parkway on Tuesday, June 15 around 5:30 a.m. to assist HEMSI. Harris was found with multiple stab wounds.
