The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged a Morgan County man with electronic solicitation of a child, transmitting obscene material to a child and traveling to meet a child for a sex act. Gregory Leo Roman, 63, was arrested by HPD Special Victims Unit (SVU) Investigators in Huntsville on Thursday, Oct. 21, for the listed charges. SVU Investigators believe the man traveled to Huntsville to meet children under the age of 14. [ more ]

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged a 15-year-old with Murder after a shooting at 800 Monroe Street around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10. The juvenile suspect’s identity will not be released. 18-year-old Tyree Humphrey died at the hospital following the shooting. HPD Major Crimes Unit Investigators believe the suspect and victim were acquaintances and the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) provided new information about how Christina Nance entered a parked, unoccupied police van in the rear corner of a parking lot at the Public Safety Complex, 815 Wheeler Ave. Ms. Nance’s body was discovered by a police officer walking in the parking lot on Thursday, Oct. 7. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 23-year-old Michael Anthony McDade Jr. with Murder after a shooting call at 6620 Old Madison Pike around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8. HEMSI transported two patients to the hospital following the shooting. 24-year-old Quentaveis Shaquan Fletcher was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 24-year-old Chassidy Jacoya White with Murder following a deadly shooting. Officers responded to 3912 Talwell Drive on Wednesday, October 6, and discovered 32-year-old Jabarry Tylon Lavell Keller dead.
