April 8, 2022The Huntsville Police Department D.U.I. Task Force will be conducting Traffic Safety checkpoints this weekend. If you are stopped at a Traffic Safety Checkpoint be prepared to present your driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle tag registration to the officers. The Task Force utilizes data provided by NASO (North Alabama Safety Office) that determines traffic accident hotspots across the city. March 16, 2022The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged 57-year-old Gregory Lankford with School Employee Having Sexual Contact with a Student Under 19. The victim in the case reported the incident to HPD. Special Victims Unit Investigators learned Lankford is an area school district employee. Investigators believe the incident began as a domestic dispute when the involved pulled off the roadway.
