The department is seeking donations of school supplies, including pencils, pens, markers, notebooks and binders. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has charged Devone Edward Modacure, 48, with murder following a shooting incident on Sunday, May 7. HPD officers responded to the 4100 block of Knight Road around 4:40 p.m. and found Harrison Sonny Hayes, 57, with gunshot wounds. Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
