Kirk Uban, 49, was shot and killed on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, in the 1200 block of Hobbs Island Road. The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) responded to a shooting at 708 Poplar Ave. on Monday, March 10, just after midnight. Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd and located four victims with gunshot wounds. All four were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
