Huntsville redistricting plans formally introduced
December 2, 2021The City of Huntsville made progress on its 2021 redistricting effort when four plans were formally introduced at the Huntsville City Council’s regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 2. December 2, 2021Huntsville’s Erick Wade was recently honored for his volunteer work with the City’s Operation Green Team and the Adopt-A-Mile programs. Wade received the Alabama People Against a Littered State (PALS) Governor’s Award at a ceremony at the Renaissance Convention Center in Montgomery. Alabama PALS provides anti-litter programming to improve the environmental and economic impact on the state. November 22, 2021Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) is waiving adoption fees on most adult dogs this week to help them find loving, caring homes before the Thanksgiving holiday. Additionally, adult cats can be adopted for $10, though some are also free to a good home. Kittens and puppies are $50.
