July 27, 2023Huntsville City Council approved plans to proceed with a $7.9 million construction contract with Lambert Contracting to complete the final phase of Apollo Park at MidCity District. March 23, 2023Funding to begin Phase 2 of Huntsville’s residential street repaving plan for this fiscal year has been approved by City Council. Wiregrass Construction Company won the $5.1 million contract to improve 51 neighborhood streets within the next 10 months. Mayor Tommy Battle’s 2022-2023 budget includes about $19.5 million for street improvements – the most money ever allocated for residential resurfacing.
