Adopt a Pet for $5

Those who have a home to offer a furry friend can adopt one March 4 – 5  for the low cost of $5.

Huntsville Animal Services (HAS) is offering the promotion as part of its Adopt-A-Day sponsorship event. The $5 fee includes the same amenities as the regular adoption package – shots, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and a City license. Some pets may be exempt from the two-day special.

The Adopt-A-Day promotion is possible thanks to a $1,000 donation from Leidos, Inc. If you’re unable to adopt a pet at this time, please consider fostering an animal through the Shelter’s foster programs.

HAS is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard in Huntsville. The shelter is open Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
