Huntsville approves grant applications for improvements to Holmes Avenue, Governors Drive
May 9, 2024The City will move forward with applications for two U.S. Department of Transportation grants focusing on safety and traffic congestion on two busy roadways in the downtown area following City Council approval. One grant would help pay for construction improvements on a 3.35-mile stretch of Holmes Avenue while the other would help fund a study for improvements on an 8.85-mile stretch of Governors Drive that includes the Medical District.
