Arts Huntsville invites artists to submit qualifications for public art installations in new City Hall

Arts Huntsville announced a national Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for two large-scale public art installations to be included in the new Huntsville City Hall complex scheduled for completion in August 2023. Huntsville Animal Services slashes fees to help clear the kennels

The Shelter has taken in over 100 animals in two days, and to save their lives, new homes need to be found quickly. To that end, adult cat adoption fees have been lowered from $35 to $10, while kitten fees are reduced from $50 to $35. Most adult dog adoption fees are now $10, though some exclusions apply. 15 Cadets Graduate from Huntsville Police Academy

Fifteen cadets graduated from the Huntsville Police Department’s 64th Academy Session on Friday, July 9. Huntsville City Council seeks to clarify proposed bylaw changes

The Huntsville City Council is seeking to clarify proposed changes to its bylaws, which would streamline how Council conducts City business. Those changes, introduced at the June 24 meeting, will be considered tonight. Huntsville Police hosts Back-to-School Supply Drive

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) will host its annual Back-to-School Supply Drive during the month of July. The department is seeking donations of backpacks, pencils, pens, markers, notebooks and other supplies. HPD also seeks coats for students to have during the winter months. July Fourth Traffic Safety Awareness

The Huntsville Police Department D.U.I. Task Force will be patrolling throughout the City during the holiday weekend. If you are stopped by an officer, be prepared to present your driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration to officers. The Task Force utilizes data provided by NASO (North Alabama Safety Office) to determine traffic accident hotspots across the City.
