The Huntsville Police Department D.U.I. Task Force will be conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints beginning Friday night through this weekend. If you are stopped at a Traffic Safety Checkpoint be prepared to present your driver license, proof of insurance and vehicle tag registration to the officers. A new 911 call center topped non-residential building permits issued last month. Residential permits and CO’s increased year-over-year. Residential Permits (new construction) in Huntsville city limits: In April, 163 housing units were permitted, 123 single- and 40 multi-family. The top tract for building permits last month was 212 (Greenbrier), where 34 units were permitted, 4 single- and 30 multi-family. She was found deceased in a home off Johnson Rd in the early morning hours of April 27.
