City offices closed for July 4 holiday

Municipal offices will be open for business on Monday, July 3 and closed for non-essential personnel on Tuesday, July 4, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. Normal hours of operation will resume on Wednesday, July 5. Sanitation pickup will be on an alternate schedule starting Tuesday, July 4. View the garbage schedule here. The Huntsville Police Department Violent Crimes Unit has charged two people in connection to recent robberies in the southwest Huntsville area. Investigators charged Curtis Smith, 36 of Huntsville, and Emily Maroney, 19 of Huntsville, with Robbery 1st degree. The robbery investigations continue and could result in additional charges or arrests.
