The Huntsville Police Department Major Crimes Unit announced that 27 year old Warren Hardy of Huntsville is in-custody in the Marion County, Tennessee Jail. Hardy is awaiting extradition back to Huntsville on a charge of Capital Murder stemming from a shooting on Morland Pointe Friday afternoon. Huntsville Police Department Major Crimes Investigators have charged 29 year old Trevaris Cole with Murder in connection to the death of four year old Khamani Sanders on August 10, 2014. Khamani was left in the care of Cole at an apartment in the 100 block of Mason Court. When the parent returned, Khamani was found in his bed unresponsive. Huntsville Animal Services is joining area pet rescue groups in sponsoring a community wide, one day, pet adoption event on Saturday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Huntsville Jaycee Building in John Hunt Park, 2180 Jaycee Way. Shelter pets will be available for a low adoption fee of $8 for cats and kittens, and $27 for dogs and puppies.
